Montgomery County Indians Boys’ Basketball gets a commanding win in home opener against Whitley County 75-38. The Indians went out on a 10-0 run and never looked back. Junior guard Brandon Dyer went on his own 3-point run finishing with 21 total points (2/4 from inside the arch and 5/8 from behind the arch). Junior Forward Ricky Lovett went 5/6 from the floor and finished with 11 points and 8 rebounds as Senior Forward Preston Adams came off the bend to provide 12 points and added 7 rebounds. There are lots of bright spots on this team as they have depth in the back court and a full court press that puts pressure on the other team. The Indians shot 63.8% from the field if they can get their free throws to drop down the stretch, they will be a team that can make a good run in post-season play. The Indians will face Greenup County in The Showcase at GRC on Dec 7th at 2pm, they will travel to Paris and West Jessamine next week as we head into the holidays.
